Career Development
I interned with Spring Hill College Career Development from January 2015 to Dec 2015. I assisted Jeremy Moore, the director of the department. Since Jeremy had arrived in his position about the same time I did I was given a number of assignment that I was expected to handle. These tasks included setting up and maintaining social media sites for the department and redesigning the website. I was also expected to assist with logistics on days of Career Development expo's or events.
Below I have included descriptions and pictures of the tasks that I assisted in and developed.
Logos and Website Design
When I started at the Career Development office the department was in the process of re branding from Career Services to Career Development. One of my first tasks was to work with the graphic design department to change these logos to Career Development. One example of these graphics can be found above as well as at the top of the new website.
The Career Development website was also one of my primary assignments. Below you will find before and after screenshots of the website
This is a screenshot of the Home Page before I began redesigning it. The information as well as the layout was outdated and in need of a complete overhaul.
Above is a screenshot of the Home Page after I redesigned the website. The content and colors were updated to be accurate and more modern.
Social Media Management
When I started interning for Career Development there were no social media sites for the Department. I was expected to create and maintain these sites. I was fully responsible for building a strong social media following through organic methods, as the department budget could not cover promotional expenses.
